南通(tong)职业大学(xue)始建(jian)于(yu)1973年,坐落在江海(hai)交汇、紧邻上(shang)海(hai)、物阜民安(an)、人文荟萃的长三角北翼,以(yi)“中国(guo)(guo)近代第一(yi)(yi)城(cheng)”著称的江苏省南通(tong)市,是(shi)一(yi)(yi)所经江苏省人民政府批准、教(jiao)(jiao)育部备案设(she)置的综合(he)(he)性全(quan)(quan)日制普通(tong)高校(xiao),是(shi)全(quan)(quan)国(guo)(guo)办学(xue)历(li)史最长的高等职业院校(xiao)之一(yi)(yi),是(shi)全(quan)(quan)国(guo)(guo)为(wei)数不多(duo)(duo)涵括(kuo)学(xue)历(li)教(jiao)(jiao)育、技(ji)(ji)工教(jiao)(jiao)育、职业培训于(yu)一(yi)(yi)身的职业院校(xiao)。学(xue)校(xiao)面向江苏、山西(xi)、山东、浙江、安(an)徽、江西(xi)、河南、河北、广(guang)(guang)东、广(guang)(guang)西(xi)、四川、贵州、云(yun)南、甘肃等14个(ge)省份招生,建(jian)有崇川和(he)海(hai)门两(liang)大校(xiao)区,设(she)有机械(xie)工程(cheng)、电子信(xin)息工程(cheng)、药品与环境工程(cheng)、建(jian)筑(zhu)工程(cheng)、汽车与交通(tong)工程(cheng)、艺术(shu)设(she)计、经济管理、国(guo)(guo)际合(he)(he)作教(jiao)(jiao)育(外国(guo)(guo)语)、技(ji)(ji)师(shi)、海(hai)门、继(ji)续教(jiao)(jiao)育、马克思(si)主义等12个(ge)学(xue)院,校(xiao)园总(zong)面积(ji)(ji)1000多(duo)(duo)亩,建(jian)筑(zhu)面积(ji)(ji)40多(duo)(duo)万平方米(mi),现有教(jiao)(jiao)职工800多(duo)(duo)人、各级各类在校(xiao)生近18000人。
